The ZEISS CIRRUS HD-OCT takes 3D scans of the retina (the lining of the inside of the eye) that help us detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular conditions. Since using the OCT is the most sophisticated way to detect early damage, we often are able to catch diseases before vision loss occurs.
The TOPCON AUTO-REFRACTOR uses wavefront technology to objectively measure for your tentative glasses prescription. The information we receive from this instrument aids you in choosing your ideal digitally enhanced optics. In addition, it creates a map of your cornea (the clear window of the eye) to assist us in fitting contact lenses.
The OPTOS DAYTONA gives a digital baseline image of the retina (the lining of the back of the eye) for future comparison. The image is helpful in diagnosing and managing diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, floaters, high cholesterol, retinal detachments or macular degeneration.
The BRIGHTNESS ACUITY TEST (BAT) simulates real-world glare and measures how cataracts affect someone's visual acuity.
The TEAR LAB gives us the ability to measure the chemical structure of your tears to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye disease (DED).
The ICARE TONOMETER allows us to measure your eye pressure without the use of drops or puffs of air.
The HUMPHREY FIELD ANALYZER (HFA) tests your peripheral and/or central vision to help detect glaucoma, macular degeneration and other eye diseases.
